Who is the owner of the domain?

How can I verify the ownership?

The easiest way to verify the ownership of a domain is to use the GoDaddy.com WHOIS service

How does the transfer process work?

We perform an immediate domain transfer to you, generally within an hour. If you have a GoDaddy.com account, we will transfer the domain directly to your existing GoDaddy.com account.

If you do NOT already have a GoDaddy.com account, we will set one up for you at no cost, and then transfer the domain into this new account.

What if I want to transfer the domain to a different Registrar, like Network Solutions?

No problem, - we can perform a domain transfer to any registrar you wish.

How long does the transfer process take?

If we transfer to a GoDaddy.com account, it is virtually immediate, the entire process is completed within an hour or two. If the transfer is going into a different registrar, it can take up to 3 or 4 days to be completed, based upon the policies of the other registrar.

I already have a website - what if I do NOT want to create a new website?

You can use the URL forwarding feature at GoDaddy.com and your existing website will automagically appear - no need for any programming changes at all. We can set this up for you at no cost when you purchase your domain.

Can I see an example of the Url Forwarding feature?

YES - here is an example: DrNames.com also owns a longer Domain Name - DrNamesForSale.com. When someone goes to DrNamesForSale.com, they are automatically taken to DrNames.com.

How do I pay?

You can use a credit card, PayPal, Google Checkout, or an Escrow service like Escrow.com.

Will I own the domain forever?

You will own the domain as long as you continue to pay the nominal annual Registry charges - these charges are usually around $10.00 per year, and every one who has a domain must pay this annual fee.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we frequently set up zero-interest payment plans so that you can spread the payments over time and still be able to use the domain right away.
